Thomas J. Sisul

Thomas J. Sisul has been practicing law in the business and real estate fields for over 40 years in the DuPage County and Chicago area. Tom graduated from DePaul University Law School with a JD degree in 1967. Following the bar examination and admission to practice in Illinois, Tom enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and earned a commission as an officer of Marines. Upon release from active duty, Tom briefly practiced in Chicago as a civil litigator.

In 1975, Tom opened his own practice in Downers Grove, DuPage County, Illinois. Having served as both a prosecutor and defense counsel in the service, and having worked in personal injury while in Chicago, Tom chose to concentrate on business representation and commercial and residential real estate. Tom enjoys helping people get into business. Tom has organized and represented all types of business organizations. He represents clients in franchise business endeavors. Tom has represented buyers and sellers in the sale of businesses including stock and asset sales.

In addition, Tom served on the Village of Downers Grove Plan Commission and then was elected to the Village Council where he served for 10 years as a commissioner and Mayor Pro Tem. He has appeared before municipalities throughout Northern Illinois on zoning matters. He has represented clients seeking appeals on commercial real estate assessments.
